The income generated by the modest membership dues helps to pay for the small number of part-time staff who manage every aspect of the Society's activity, such as producing the members' magazines (Scientific Explorer Annual Review and Exploration Revealed) and regular e-newsletters, maintaining the website and social media pages, the Explorer Awards programme and 'Oscars of Exploration' presentation ceremony, the scientific expeditions supported and made available for participation and a full and varied schedule of Explorer Talks and Charity Events organised for the SES community to enjoy. SES is very grateful for this support.
