We are thrilled to announce that RSK will be a supporting sponsor, for the second year in a row, of the Explorer Awards Presentation Evening this year, which takes place on Wednesday, 20 May 2020 at The Law Society (London). The Explorer Awards aim to encourage ‘Scientific Trailblazers’ and ‘Pioneers with Purpose’ by providing high profile awards each year for projects that leave a lasting legacy and benefit.

RSK director Sue Sljivic, has long been involved with SES, having joined young explorers from around the world on Operation Drake, the expedition that was the brainchild of explorer, SES Founder and Honorary President Colonel John Blashford-Snell CBE.

"The skills I learnt in Sulawesi, on phase 7 of Operation Drake, included teamwork, logistics, survival skills, risk assessment and problem solving,” Sue comments. “Working alongside leading scientists, we gained a valuable, deeper understanding of the wildlife and ecology of this remote part of the world."

RSK scientists are pushing the boundaries of science to better understand our environment and assess the likely impacts associated with development. RSK backs SES’s ethos of supporting scientific discovery, research and conservation in remote parts of the world, and assists clients with mitigation measures to ensure that long-term effects of development are as low as reasonably practicable.

SES is hugely grateful to RSK for its continued support.
