Dee is the first woman to have sailed single-handed and non-stop around the world in both directions and she will chart her journey from secondary school PE teacher to world-record setting professional yachtswoman. With a focus on her most recent project promoting youth opportunities, gender equality and sustainability, she will share her personal experiences, insights and lessons learnt in an authentic and entertaining way. Dee recorded this special message for SES members and friends shortly after completing the Transpac race.

Her talk will be preceded with a drinks reception and followed by a raffle raising funds for SES (tickets £20 via SES Eventbrite).
