SES Explorer Talk: James Glancy CGC - Adventure Activism

James Glancy is a passionate wildlife conservationist and presenter on Discovery Channel and he will recount stories from Afghanistan, spending two days drifting with Oceanic whitetip sharks in the Atlantic raising awareness of over fishing, to training anti-poaching teams in South Africa.

As a keen adventure sportsman and someone who has travelled widely, James believes that today, anybody who enjoys travel and adventure should also be an activist and ambassador for the environment. For those of us in the fortunate position to take part in expeditions and travel to remote parts of the world, it is our responsibility to give something back and shine a light on the impacts that humanity has on the oceans, wilderness and wildlife. James will explain how his military training and experiences in combat, have given him the skills to pursue a career in conservation and television.
