|The SES Honorary President, Col. John Blashford-Snell has made the journey to Colombia in February 2016. The expedition has been organised by the Scientific Exploration Society representative in Latin America, Senorita Yolima Cipagauta, working with the Wiwa people.
The 20 strong expedition has assembled in Colombia. There are 2 British doctors, 2 British dentists and a reserve forces nurse in the medical team. A Colombian doctor and a dentist are joining them. The Wiwa Indians are hard at work building a new primary school at Limnocito, for which the expedition has obtained funding from the Newport Uskmouth Rotary Club. All material has to be carried several thousand feet up a steep mountain track for some 4-5 hours by men and mules. The expedition’s engineers will complete the project when they arrive in February.
Despatches will be sent to this website during the project and can be viewed here http://www.ses-explore.org/news_detail.php?article=345
