Exploration in Latin America

13th Feb 2018

The SES is holding a Champagne Reception, Talk and Live Auction on Tuesday 13th February at Canning House to celebrate the many expeditions carried out in Latin America under the banner of the Society, since the epic first crossing on the Darien Gap in 1972, to the recent successful expedition in Colombia’s Amazonas region. The event will be introduced by His Excellency Néstor Osorio, the Colombian Ambassador and an illustrated presentation will be given by John Blashford-Snell OBE, founder and President of the SES and Senorita Yolima Cipaguata, the Society's representative in Latin America.

The LIVE AUCTION is in aid of the Society’s work and to help the Ticuna people of Colombia Amazonas and is already live allowing online bids in the run-up to the final Auction on the night.
