Tiger 1

15th February 2010 - Lecture at the Sheraton Park Tower

For fifteen years Julian Matthews (SES member) has been visiting Tiger reserves across the Indian Sub continent, initially with JBS and the SES. For the last six he has been wrestling with the authorities to get them to understand that the very best way to save their forests - ways to recognise what was happening in front of their eyes, embrace it and use it more effectively.

Last year he decided that the only way to make the point, was somehow to demonstrate to the authorities how it should be done. So, for three months he journeyed through India’s once fabled tiger lands and found his own Tiger forest. This is (we hope) the start of his story.

All SES lectures are held at the Sheraton Park Tower at 7pm and are free to members.
