Schools

The SES has long had an association with schools by linking them to expeditions in the field. Over the years this has led to some schools establishing email connections with foreign students and enhanced the knowledge of all concerned on world affairs, conservation, environmental matters and the protection of wildlife. Some of these young people have been so inspired that they have gone on to study these subjects at University.

We were delighted that two UK schools, Dinting Primary School in Glossop, Derbyshire and Barlow RC High School in Didsbury, Manchester, were able to link up with the SES Kota Mama VI Expedition to Bolivia in 2007.

They were able to speak via satellite phone to Bolivian children during the course of the expedition, and used these link ups to help with their geography and Spanish studies.

We also maintain links with the British Schools Exploring Society and Raleigh International.
